When the Satyam Scam hit….now and then

I have made my posts which i wrote during the scam time from Private to Public…as a precautionary measure i made those posts private for past 5 months…just select satyam tag or category….

i have serious of changes in my thoughts now as there is no more Satyam Computer Services Ltd…existing…and i am nomore an employee of Satyam Computer Services ltd.

I have witnessed a mixed set of feelings and utterings around me on then Satyam’s chairman when he released the scam to light….and witnessed those set of people in VPP now…and also who even after 10 yrs of experience and doesn’t knew what would happen next for them….they sticked on to satyam even after losing all their shares..staggered rewards… etc..but these are those who determined not to search another job outside satyam..atleast for then have got a really worthy projects now and are working in client locations…

we are really proud to have you as our senior people…i am mentioning some people whowork for Philips project.

The things which saddens me is the Honda team…which chucked out the entire unit in VPP except PL/PM and FLCL along with their BA. Where does the entire billing went for 16+ people for past 1.7 years…they were not billable for past 1.7 yrs and now in VPP. Why is it still invisible to HRs? will CP look into such sort of issues?

No negative comments please on those posts as i had enough already on those post…and learnt a lot during these past few months…

VPP in my company….

The total associates joining VPP [Virtual Pool Program] in my Company from my HCU accounts 1932 today… including my Unit’s Head and my previous assessor who made an eltp to interview me and asked him to give rating to me…

I belong to HCU Java! I may join the VPP next month or next year or later….

What makes me feel is “I FEEL INSECURE” despite being an associate who contributes to Organisation by working in a project…

The Night’s feel after the Satyam – Tech Mahindra deal got announced…

Its still hard to believe…and to digest that we are no more pure satyamites…

We had stood strong enough with a vow that “at any point of time the delivery and our customers shouldn’t be affected at any cost”

Actually the above quoted words boosted our morale when we heard it from our Managers and Delivery Heads, constant meeting with our VPs, HRs, Delivery Heads, etc etc…at times some of our clients have visited us and had meeting with us…

I feel really proud that we as a whole haven’t let satyam down…our delivery haven’t affected at any point of time…

I dont know how i will be tomorrow? but so far i personally feel i have contributed a lot more than what i am paid for…

it may seem to be an emotional post but this is the reality…

At the crisis time, nobody knew how today will be then…but we stood commited and we didn’t let the brand down eventhough some media wrote always as “tainted satyam” or “scam filled satyam” instead of “Satyam”.

It will be an apt time to say my whole hearted thanks to Prem Chand Gupta, Kiran Karnik, Deepak Parekh and all our board directors who thought that this is not an ordinary entity to let off.

It is the time to salute Lalu Prasad Yadav for giving India such a talented and extraordinary minister like Mr.PCGupta. HatsOff Lalu…

Last but not the least… our customers knew…the people knew..Our self knew…our familes and friends knew…other IT employees knew…how committed we were…how hard we worked…how dedicated we were all these days…all these didn’t let the brand ‘Satyam’ to die…even after so many tough time and recession…

Finally Congrats for Mr.Mahindra and his team…because the world will remember the India’s biggest deal ever made…in domestic market…

TechMahindra and Satyam..

When i came to office today..there were few people discussing about something… before entering the lift…along the corridors..I didn’t noticed eventhough people behaved unusualy…

But when i entered the development Center..my teammate gave a surprise news..we are Tech Mahindra now…immediately i asked him “Is the Deal over and announced?” he said “Yes”

I was wondering “how can i forget this date?”

Soon after Christmas…we got a blow..and after Easter we got this news…we have to wait and see about the Strategy of the new ownership…how they are going to handle us…etc..etc…

From my personal point of view…i didn’t expect L&T’s takeover…because i personally think they are not sounded to make a strong and bold move in this recession…but i didn’t expect Mahindra too to make such an excellent move to expand their business and to have atleast 30000+ dedicated and excellent resources to compete…

I still pray for our ex-chairman to have a peaceful life…hope he shouldn’t have seen all these stuffs atleast in his lifetime…his child “Satyam” getting an initial changed to some other…but let god give him strength to face all charges against him…

But we are here to make the Satyam-TechMahindra deal a successful deal and to make a profitable venture…

Satyam,ICICI&HDFC

After a week, the scandal burst out, i am unable to admit to my self that our chairman did all those stuffs. i convince myself that a guy who worked for 20 years to create a giant will not do that.

The comment i received lastly from a ex-employee of satyam[I Guess] is urging me to analyse some issues on our former chairman.

I am waiting and keenly observing every move of the government.

The biggest advantage of all satyamites is that this is a great opportunity that we will never get, to be with a company in such a situation.

We will be able to handle situations in future on business, restoring employee confidence, client’s faith, et cetera very efficiently.

In every means satyam provided me the opportunity, so i cannot think odd of satyam, like outsiders who say, you did these many work for Satyam, but what Satyam did for you, or what Your boss did for you?

Another horrible opportunity i got was, to know about ICICI and HDFC, These two banks have revised the credit limits of satyam employees to 1/3 and 1/10 th of previous limits[reduced in that scale]. i am not worried but i learnt few stuffs from it. so, seriously thinking of opening a account in nationalised bank.

I still feel proud to be with Satyam.

I sent a mail condemning their act to icici and i got a reply from them too. i said ” i wont recommend icici in future for any purposes which i did before and i am considering an option of opening an a/c in nationalized bank “. I dont know how may sent like i did, now they had revoked their credit reduction.

An email from a proud and mighty Satyamite.

Dear Friends
Today I don’t know why but a thought came into my mind and refreshed the memory of a day down the lane…The day use to be “Tuesday” during my ELTP training days.
Inside – use to beat a heart-my heart and just a few millimeters above it,
Outside – use to shine a logo, carrying a glorified past of 21 years of excellence.
A scene passed by my mind that during the coffee breaks or lunch time when Our batches comes out, I use to see a lot of “little” Satyams flaunting here and there-proudly. I use to see a smile on each one of those faces, 23-24 years old in age.

Today, I thought and made up my mind that when our leaders are busy in retaining the confidence of clients, I would like to show my confidence in them by once again taking out that white shirt with a blue Satyam logo shining on the pocket, just above my heart, from the cupboard and come to office wearing it once again on the coming Tuesday.

Friends, as ELTPs, don’t you think that we really owe it to Satyam for being provided us with a golden opportunity to start our career, and launch us in this IT sector from a very strong platform. Didn’t Satyam really bring us up as its own children?

Friends its time to show our solidarity, our integrity and our loyalty and above all our faith in our Organization

May I appeal to all the ELTPs that friend lets start a revolution. This Tuesday on 13th of Jan, We will all wear that Satyam logo shirt and once again flaunt the little Satyam in the premises of campus.

This is our way to show that, “United We Stand” and tell our Leaders that Sir please go and say the clients, both existing and upcoming, that we are ready, to face any challenges and We will not let all those incidents that happened in last 48 hours, to affect your business, as our motto itself says, Business Transformation. Together.

And my respected seniors, Sirs/Madams, We are with you in all your efforts to win back our glory.

This Tuesday ELTPs@Satyam will stand united to give support to the leaders, working day and night to save our careers.

Every Satyamite is a leader and this Tuesday we will prove this…

Are you together?? Are you ready??

If yes than please circulate this mail to as many Satyamites as you know…and don’t forget to wear the Brand Satyam Shirt on Tuesday.

nd yea. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
